President & CEO Brian Byrnes to Leave the VCF
President & CEO of the Vermont Community Foundation, Brian T. Byrnes, announced this week that he will step down from his post after 4 ½ years to accept a position as the managing director of Tides Foundation and senior vice president of Tides Network in San Francisco.

VCF Signs Energy Bill Letter to Congress
As a member of the Investor Network on Climate Risk (INCR), the VCF joined together with 29 institutional investors and asset managers, with over $1.4 trillion in assets under management, to urge Congress to support a final Energy Bill that will move the United States toward a more sustainable and more secure energy future and address directly the issue of climate change.

The Walter Cerf Community Fund, a component fund of the Vermont Community Foundation, announced 2007 grant awards totaling $179,750 to 45 organizations.
Arts Endowment Fund Awards More Than $85,000
The Vermont Arts Endowment Fund and the Concert Artists Fund, two component funds of the Vermont Community Foundation, announced that together they have awarded a total of $85,500 to 26 organizations across the state.
